As the fall sports season wraps up, winter sports are preparing to start. Both girls and boys basketball are among the many athletics offered at JHS, with tryouts that began on Monday, October 30th. Athletes and coaches are extremely excited as well as busy with getting everything sorted out for the 23-24 season.

As far as numbers go, coaches have mentioned that overall, more athletes are trying out than in previous years. It is significant that more students are interested in participating.

The boys’ team will host their jamboree on Thursday, November 16th. As for the girls’ team, they’ll travel to Monett for their jamboree on Tuesday, November 14th. Both of the teams kick off their official season on the following Tuesday, November 21st.
