Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dating rumors have been circulating around the internet for the past few months. It all started when The 33-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended Swift’s Eras Tour back in July. On Kelce’s podcast titled New Heights, he said, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets and I had received a bunch of them, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.” He then said he was “Butt- Hurt” about his experience at the concert and that he “took it personal” as he attempted to give Swift a bracelet with his phone number on it. However, she does not meet people before or after the show, taking away Kelce’s chance to express his interest in her and to give her his handmade gift. He even tried to pass it to her, however, this also failed. 

In another New Heights episode, Travis’ brother Jason Kelce, the Philadelphia Eagles’ center, asked him what Swift thought of his new ‘stache that he does in honor of Chiefs coach Andy Reid each training camp. 

“We’re not going to bring up Taylor Swift in this episode,” Travis responded, “but something tells me she’s going to like it.” Around the same time, Travis heads to New York on his week off, the same time Swift is in New York for her 1989 album coming out later next month. However, the two were never spotted together — in public, that is. 

Around a month later, a source came out and said that Kelce and Swift were quietly talking and hanging out. Jason Kelce was also asked multiple times about his brother’s relationship with Swift, but he neither confirmed nor denied it. Sports commentators for the Chiefs game were also in on this mastermind plan. Taylor Swift song references were used many times throughout the game, for instance when Kelce made a touchdown, they said, “Kelce finds a Blank Space for the score.”

On September 24, Swift made it known that she was “dating the boy on the football team” as she showed up to the Chiefs vs. Bears game and sat with Mama Kelce. Travis was seen many times throughout the game on the sidelines looking up to Swift and his mom in the box. Swift was also seen on the camera many times that night chest bumping and high-fiving the people next to her. She is already making good friends with the Kelce family as she was seen laughing and talking through the game. 

The conference and interviews after the game turned into Swifte talk. Chiefs Coach Andy Reid was asked about the relationship of the two, as he joked, “I set them up.” 

Mahomes was also asked to which he responded, “He told me at the last minute. There’s some things with Trav where he kind of just says it and you don’t know if it’s true or not. He says it so calmly. … Friday he was like, ‘Yeah, I think she’s coming to the game this weekend,’ and then moved about his business.”
Kelce and Swift were seen leaving the stadium together as the Chiefs won the game 41-10. They were then seen in their “getaway car” which was Kelce’s 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible. They then rented out a restaurant for the team and were seen there together. A source says the party lasted until 2 a.m. Mahomes said he got to meet Swift at the after-party. 

“Yeah, I met her. She’s really cool. Good people,” Mahomes said in response when he was asked if he had met Swift yet. Kelce said in his most recent podcast that he won’t say much more about Swift as he wants to respect both of their lives.

“All along there was an invisible string” tying Kelce to Swift. Swift’s grandma Marjorie Finlay was born October 5, and Kelce was also born October 5, however, he was born in 1989. Swift was also born in 1989. Kelce’s jersey number is 87 and Swift’s lucky number is 13. If you add the two together, you get 100. These things are coincidences that prove the two were meant to be together.

The day after Swift attended the Chiefs game, Kelce’s jersey sales boosted by over 400%. Swift is expected to be at the next game, Sunday, October 1, against the New York Jets in New York. It is rumored that Swift was asked to perform at the game, however, she declined the offer.

On October 1, Swift was seen at the New York Jets vs. Kansas City Chiefs game in New York. This time she invited many of her friends, Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Sophie Turner. Patrick Mahomes’s wife, Brittany Mahomes, was seen seated next to the group of friends that night.
